HILLARY CONTINUES TO TAKE AIM AT OBAMA OVER DEBATES…
- For the record, there have already been 18 debates (and the dialogue gets stale). Now Senator Clinton feels her strongest attack against Obama is to challenge him to more debates – 1 per week to be exact.
Barack Obama has already agreed to two more debates. The truth is, we don’t need more debates, but Hillary could certainly benefit from the free air-time since her campaign continues to find itself in a cash (and support) crunch.
Obama’s team says: “We’ve got other business to do here in terms of meeting voters face to face”.
His position is that he needs to be out amongst the people so that they can get to know him and what his position is on many of the issues. 8 successive wins aside, Obama still doesn’t have the name recognition or time in the national public eye as the Clintons’ do. While Hillary debates, she can send out former President Bill – an equal, if not better, alternative to herself. She also sends out first daughter Chelsea to reach the young people.
All this, and she still finds herself trailing behind and financially strapped?
Obama is earning his votes by campaigning in every state, not ignoring a number of them because they “don’t matter”. The upcoming primary is in Wisconsin on February 19th, but Clinton won’t be there. She’s already in Texas focusing on the larger win (she hopes) on March 4th.
